National Purpose

To provide professional development, career building and support, and a community of peers for all teachers of stringed instruments

CT-ASTA enriches lives through universal access to excellent string playing and teaching

• Publicize, promote and participate in the performances, conferences, advocacy, and publications of National ASTA and Connecticut throughout Connecticut and the surrounding region

• Serve as a resource of string-related opportunities in Connecticut

• Promote the highest standards of string pedagogy and performance

• Provide leadership and a forum for the discussion of the programs and activities of CT-ASTA

• Act as the liaison for the dissemination of information from National ASTA
